Launceston rainbow - view from my balcony

This was a nice surprise from what looked like a gloomy day.

The view is usually fantastic,

Sometimes very clear with three mountains visible: Mt Arthur, Mt Barrat and Ben Lomond. Ben Lomond always the first to get snow in winter and a favourite for skiers.

Always tempted to do yet another painting of a view from Hill Street.

The view changes according to the time of day and if there is mist. Sometimes the city is totally hidden with just a few glimmering lights showing.

Other times everything is clear , including the detail on the mountains in the distance.
